Can You Use an HSA or FSA to Pay for CPAP Machines?
There are fairly strict guidelines for purchasing a CPAP machine — people must obtain a CPAP prescription to purchase a device, for example — but there are thankfully many options when it comes to paying for a device. This makes purchasing a CPAP machine relatively easy.
Can You Use an HSA or FSA to Pay for CPAP Machines?
We are often asked if a customer can use an HSA (Health Savings Accounts) or FSA (Flexible Savings Accounts) to purchase one of our CPAP machines, and we are happy to say that the answer is yes. HSAs and FSAs are one of the many payment methods that can be used at our shop. Most customers can use these types of accounts to pay for their purchase using their assigned HSA/FSA debit card.
Note: if you are uncertain whether items at our shop are qualified purchases for your HSA/FSA, you should check with your account provider before your buy.
What Can Be Purchased Using an HSA or FSA?
It’s not only CPAP machines that can be purchased using an HSA or FSA, you can also use funds in these accounts to purchase CPAP accessories and CPAP replacement parts at our online store. Because these parts are necessary to keep your CPAP machine running well and clean (which is important to your health), these items should also qualify as eligible purchases with your HSA or FSA funds.
Does it Matter if You Use an HSA or FSA?
No, there is no difference in using an HSA or FSA when purchasing products. Just follow the applicable guidelines based on the type of account you will be using. The process is similar to purchasing most other types of products online or in store.
